"Been coming here for years. Even when I lived in Sumatra and came over to Penang for a few days every couple of months, I'd always eat here, that's how good the food is; very authentic Padang food. I'm sure the owner originates from Bukittinghi. Owners are very friendly, always with a smile whenever we see them. Great food. Always an honour to eat their different tempeh dishes!! Fantastic sambal leaves a good sensation on your lips!!! Good prices, great service and our teh o ais is normally on our table before we're sitting down to eat. Now we live in Penang 6 months a year and travel into Georgetown just to eat lunch at this place at least once a week. By far the best place to eat Indo food in Georgetown."

"Seriously delicious food with Indonesian dishes including tempeh and genkol. It's a clean and neat place, no air-conditioning but many fans and a decent, little bathroom. Friendly owners =)"

"Nasi Padang at its finest, had the sweet chilli prawns with stink beans, telong balado and a couple of Indo style water spinach veggies. Always super cheap, strong flavours and super tasty! I saw Beef Rendang and some chicken curry’s and some whole cooked fish too 12/10 RM8 for lunch including a drink, crazy!!"

"Authentic Indonesian Nasi Padang Restaurant. Complete choices of Padang dishes they have, yet their best one is the beef rendang. Their beef rendang sauce is dark brown nearly black, which is also rare in Indonesia. The taste of the dark rendang sauce is really really special, thus it is really the best rendang in Penang Island for me. Beside nasi padang, they also have Bakso. Few more offering of Javanese dishes in the menu are however not available. Definitely the place to go for good Rendang."
